The play portrays the life between two families from one ancestor. They used to share life as they were from the same root living in the same livelihood. They have a huge tree which they call “guardian tree” where they collect fruits from altogether. Those fruits are called fruits of peace, prosperity and humanity. One day in the morning when they arrived at the tree, they found it was cut without any clue about who has made it down. They started quarreling until they started to fight the other day, one family accusing another. Some of the family members died and others were handicapped. There was big fear of that tragic moment they have gone through by themselves. They all ended up in dilemma wondering what they should do. They regret whatever they have done but also in a big ambiguity of what they should do for such condition of tears, bad memories and trauma.
The purpose of the play was to showcase strategies of helping people:
- Listen to themselves and their society
- Understand and accept their past in order to build the hope for their future
- Understand the rights to self-expression and the role of listening to each other’s story.
- Promoting the culture of active non-violence problem solving techniques in the community.
